Michael Owen Returns To Training For Manchester United After Hamstring Injury

Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson has confirmed that Michael Owen has returned from injury to resume full training.

The former Liverpool forward had been hit with a hamstring injury and had been sidelined since October, but is now on the road to making a comeback.

"Michael Owen's training now, he's doing very well," Ferguson told MUTV.

"He took part in the football side of it yesterday but I would say he's two weeks away [from playing]. We need to make sure he does a good stint of football training before we bring him into the games."

Owen Hargreaves, however, is still recovering from the injury he suffered during his comeback against Wolves.

The former Bayern Munich man was making his first league start for the club in over two years, but left the pitch in pain with less than six minutes having passed.

Ferguson added: "It's a bad blow for the lad and it's hard to take, given the length of time he's been out and the amount of football he's missed."
