Dimitar Berbatov's agent has revealed that his client wants to spend the rest of his career playing for Manchester United.
The Bulgarian forward made a move to Old Trafford after a fee of more than £30 million had been agreed with Tottenham Hotspur. But his first two seasons at the club were largely underwhelming ones in comparison to the price that was paid to acquire his services.
However, the 29-year-old has come into his own this season, scoring 11 goals in 12 starts for the club. And now his representative, Emil Danchev, believes that the former CSKA Sofia man would want to end his career at Old Trafford.
"I'm almost sure he will finish his competitive career with United," Danchev told TV 7.
"He is a very balanced person and he knows what is best for him.
"There are different characters at United and there's big competition too. Berbatov sets an example to everyone in the team."
The agent also ruled out any chance of Berbatov coming out of international retirement to play for Bulgaria, as he said: "He decided to make way for some younger players in the team."
